Welcome to Bective Stud – a Stud Farm in Meath
The Home of the Unforgettable Experience
Bective House is a stud farm in Meath and is located on the banks of the river Boyne and the Estate has 180 acres. The house lies midway between Navan and Trim and is easily accessible from the Town Centres.
Bective House is in an understated architectural style in the spirit of Francis Johnston. Bective house is surrounded by a wide expanse of parkland, dotted with clumps of trees.
The plantation of these trees and creation of parkland led to the walling in of the demesne and the re-routing of the Trim Navan road. Most of these trees are still standing today. Impressive ashlar gateways were erected at each entrance to the estate with gate lodges at each end and an additional number of houses to cater for workers on the estate.

In the early 1800’s the house was famous locally for Fox Hunting and regularly the hunt, led by the Hunt Master, started off from Bective House. Today Bective estate still houses the ‘Meath foxhounds’ for local hunting.
Accommodation
Our Gardens
Our gardens are new, and we take pride in our grounds and try to keep the grounds clean, tidy and a place to enjoy the tranquillity of Bective Stud and the Estate. We are still renovating our grounds like the rest of the Estate. Nowhere better symbolises all that is great about the Estate than the grounds and our new “Val’s Garden”.
Bective Tea Rooms
We are ecstatic and delighted that Bective Tea Rooms is now open. All our food is sourced locally and freshly prepared by our in-house chefs. We take great pride in quality and taste and in providing our customers with an experience. Bective Tea Rooms is fondly known by many locals as the North Lodge or the Gate Lodge.
